Cowboy’s Cinnamon Bolognese

How to Cook Cowboy’s Cinnamon Bolognese:

  1. Place a large, heavy-bottomed stock pot over medium-low heat and pour in the olive oil.
  2. Toss in the onions and garlic, and sauté, stirring occasionally, until the onions are tender and translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle in the brown sugar and ground cinnamon, stirring well for an additional 2 minutes to let the flavors meld.
  4. Crank up the heat to medium and add the ground beef, along with a pinch of salt. Break the meat apart with a spatula, cooking until it’s browned and cooked through, around 5 to 7 minutes.
  5. Drop in the tomato paste, stirring occasionally, and let it caramelize for about 5 minutes.
  6. Pour in the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and sprinkle in the dried oregano. Give it a good stir.
  7. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let the sauce simmer away for 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to truly come together.
  8. After 10 minutes, remove the lid, give the sauce a taste, and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  9. Serve it hot, paired with your favorite pasta, and savor the unique twist of Cowboy’s Cinnamon Bolognese. Enjoy, partner!
