What is your favorite thing about the ranch?

The diversity it offers my family and being able to spend time on a horse moving cattle.

Why do you enjoy the western lifestyle? 

The simplistic nature it offers. Yet there is so much diversity from putting in waterlines, to checking cattle, all the way to examining our grass lands.

What is your favorite TV show or movie? 

There is no competition…. Lonesome Dove.

What is your next important goal?

My hope is to show everyone the natural beauty Wyoming can provide. I want nothing more than to educate people all over about the quality of beef we provide and the benefits it can bring to your diet.

What is the name of your horse?

Harley. He is a wild mustang that we purchased from the BLM land. His exact age is unknown but he is older than 10 for sure.

Why do you live life as a cowboy?

I love the simplicity of this life. Hard work pays off and it goes to show that you truly reap what you sow when you live on a ranch. Ranching has provided a perfect gathering place for all of our kids and grandkids to come. Watching them pick up the lifestyle and carry it on warms my heart.

Ribeye Steak or Flank Steak (tacos all day every day)

Why do you live life as a cowboy?

I don’t believe I fit the definition of a “cowboy,” but the reason I love the lifestyle is simply because “family.” Family is everything and everyone on Lazy T Ranch is family. I want to continue on with what my grandfather and great grandfather have done before me and do my best to show others the importance of cattle ranchers.

What is your favorite TV show or movie? 

I’m a major comedy fan. I have to go with American Made for a movie and Parks and Rec for a TV Show.

What is your favorite thing about the ranch?

I love the timelessness of raising cattle. Whenever I ride with our crew, I can’t help but think about the generations of ranchers and cattlemen who came before us. Supporting and participating in the lifestyle are my favorite things about Lazy T.

Why do you enjoy the Western lifestyle?

Coming from Georgia, I’m an outsider. I didn’t grow up ranching. I’m not a cowboy (but I’m learning). Stepping into this new culture, I’ve learned to humble myself, ask questions, and try at the risk of failure. There are dozens of reasons why I enjoy the Western lifestyle—the simplicity, the emphasis on functionality, honesty, and respect. Biggest of all, I appreciate the community.
