Cowboy Christmas Ribeye: A Festive Ranch Feast

How to Cook Cowboy Christmas Ribeye:

  1. Take your ribeye steaks out of the fridge and let them rest for about 20 minutes. A good steak needs to warm up to room temperature—just like a cowboy getting ready for the day.
  2. Pat the steaks dry and rub them with olive oil. Mix the salt, pepper, and garlic powder, then coat each side generously. If you’re feeling fancy, toss on a sprig of rosemary.
  3. Heat a cast-iron skillet until it’s smoking hot—don’t skimp on the heat; you want a proper sear. Add a tablespoon of butter and let it melt before laying those ribeyes in the pan.
  4. Cook for 4–5 minutes on each side for a perfect medium-rare. Adjust the time if you like it more done (but we won’t judge). Add the remaining butter to the pan and baste the steaks during the last minute of cooking.
  5. Remove the ribeyes from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with your favorite ranch sides—rosemary potatoes and charred green beans are our go-to.
