  • 1 lb Lazy T Flat Iron Steak
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • Flour tortillas
  • Sour cream, salsa, and guacamole for serving

Instructions

How to Cook Flat Iron Fajitas:

  1. Season the Steak: In a small bowl, mix chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Rub the steak with olive oil and coat it with the seasoning mix. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
  2. Grill the Steak: Preheat your grill or skillet to high heat. Cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Remove and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
  3. Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add more olive oil if needed. Sauté the bell peppers and onion until softened and slightly charred.
  4. Assemble the Fajitas: Serve the sliced steak and sautéed vegetables in warm flour tortillas. Top with sour cream, salsa, and guacamole.
