American Western Dry-Aged Prime Rib French Dip

How to Cook American Western Dry-Aged Prime Rib French Dip:

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Season the prime rib with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high and sear the meat on all sides.
  3. Place the prime rib in a roasting pan. Sauté onions and garlic in the same skillet, then deglaze with red wine.
  4. Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and thyme to the skillet and simmer.
  5. Pour this mixture over the prime rib, cover, and roast for about 4 hours, or until tender.
  6. Let the prime rib rest, then slice thinly. Skim fat off the liquid and use as au jus.
  7. Serve the sliced prime rib on French rolls with warm au jus for dipping.
