How Lazy T Ranch Ensures Quality and Freshness

We pay close attention to genetics and select cattle with good EPDs (Expected Progeny Differences) to better our herd. We raise our cattle on natural groundwater, work them slowly on horseback to lower stress, and let them graze freely on open grasslands.
When the time comes to finish our “fats” (cattle to be processed), we transport them to a feedlot and give them a closely monitored grain diet until they put on the right amount of weight. Then, we process them, cryo-seal and flash freeze the beef for peak freshness, and package the beef in a Styrofoam cooler with dry ice before shipping it to your home.
Because cattle and beef quality go together, our cattle’s well-being is our number one priority. We constantly educate ourselves about ways to improve our program.
